Summer Activity Roundup

It's that time of year again! For many, the school year is drawing to a close, and kids across the country are eagerly watching the clock as it counts down to summer. As temperatures begin to rise, it can be tempting to plant oneself in an air-conditioned room and bask in the glow of the tv screen, but hot summer days don't need to keep the kiddos inside! Check out our list below of fun, family-friendly activities!

  • Take a bike ride through the park. If it's an especially warm day, bring your swimsuits and bike to the river!
  • Learn about astronomy with a stargazing session! Looking for kid-friendly stargazing activities? Check out this awesome list from Kids Creations!
  • Visit your local library. Beyond books, most local libraries have educational games, audiobooks, scheduled activities, and more!
  • Too hot to play baseball? Swap out the ball and bat for a water balloon and whiffle ball bat!
  • Go to your local farmer's market and score some fresh fruits and veggies right from the source!
  • Do you have kids ages 7-14 who love swimming, archery, hiking, and generally having fun in nature? Check out Camp Rockin' U, registration is open now!
