Employee of the Month: Kellon Thompson
Our October Employee of the Month is our County Liaison, Kellon Thompson! Read on to learn what initially sparked his interest in working with EA Family Services, how he practices self-care, and more!
What originally made you want to work with EA Family Services?
Sportsman's Day 2017. I was there to volunteer, but was impressed with how much everyone was enjoying themselves, and how much they liked working for EA. Seeing the admin team all working hard and serving the guests made me want to work for leaders who lead by example.
What does your best day on the job look like?
One where I'm able to help my counties find placements for the kids, whether it's transitional housing, or through our foster family agency.
What do you wish people knew about working in your field?
There's always a need for more resource parents, especially ones that have a desire to work with teens.
How do you practice self-care?
Fishing, hiking, camping, kayaking, and jet skiing.
What's something about you that would surprise most people?
Kellon is actually my middle name.
