Many people will, at some point in their lives, know someone who is involved in foster parenting in one way or another. And as any foster parent can tell you, when the topic arises with friends and family, the same (oftentimes cringe-inducing) questions are asked again and again. With this in mind, we've put together a list of things you should never say to a prospective or current foster parent, and a few suggested alternatives.  "My friend became a foster parent and [insert terrible story here]."

This month our choice for Leadership Spotlight is our Operations Director, Zach Anderson. As the oldest of ten (six of which were adopted from foster care), Zach has been entrenched in the field in one way or another, for most of his life. After graduating from high school, he decided to move away from California and spent the next ten years traveling around the country.

This month our Leadership Spotlight selection is our HR Supervisor, Sara Bodenham. Born and raised in Chico, Sara's background in farming and ranching instilled an early interest in agriculture. And although she originally set her sights on a future within that industry, after moving to Quincy she was hired as a temporary Office Manager at EA, changing the course of her life. Read on to learn more about Sara! Are there experiences in your early life that have contributed to your success with EA?
