Please describe your background, and what led you to EA:

I graduated from Southern Oregon University with my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in June, 2019. What led me to EA was my desire to help people.

What experiences early in life contributed to your success with EA?

I just recently started working for EA so my success is still yet to be seen. An early life experience that will lead to my success with EA was being raised in a single-parent environment. My mother and father were divorced when I was 5 and my mother was abused by my father, so I can sympathize with our clients and have a deep want to help however I can.

What advice would you give to someone interested in working with youth in foster care?

I would recommend they listen to the children. Most adults want to tell the child that everything is going to be ok. They tell the child about their life experience, and how they understand what the child is feeling—when really they do not. Everyone experiences events differently. Listen to what the child is telling you and how they are feeling. Once you have that knowledge, then you can better help the child.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not at work?

I enjoy being outside, spending time with family and friends, watching movies, football, and reading a good book. The number one thing I love doing when I'm not at work now is spending time with my 11 month old son.

What's a hidden talent you have, or something about yourself that would surprise most people?

I do not have any hidden talents. I suppose something that might surprise most people is I used to be a good runner. I had a full-ride track scholarship, but elected to join the Army. My fastest mile is 4 minutes and 15 seconds, which is 2 seconds off of Olympic qualification time.
