Employee of the Month: Reese Howell

What originally made you want to work with EA? Reese Howell, Office Manager

I started working as a part-time transporter; I needed a second job and I loved the flexibility that the position offered. A year later Melody offered me the Office Manager position and I gladly accepted.

Describe what your best day on the job looks like:

I honestly love my job. Every day is different and I just go with the flow. I enjoy seeing our clients and their Bio family have enjoyable visits. I strive to make everyone who walks through the door feel welcomed at the Oroville EA office.

What do you wish people knew about working in your field?

I wish that people who think Foster Parents are in it for "the money" would understand that most foster families are truly in it for the right reasons. They are in it for the children and they are dedicated to helping them through this difficult journey.

How do you practice self care?

I enjoy taking walks, reading books, and occasionally I indulge in a Manicure and Pedicure.

What's a hidden talent you have, or something about yourself that would surprise most people?

When I was 16 I spent the summer working for my father who had a small construction/painting business in Monterey County. I spent several weeks in Carmel painting Clint Eastwood's home and restaurant Hog's Breath Inn. I had the chance to meet him and he was very down to earth and approachable. That was pretty exciting.
