Meet Administrative Assistant Asifa Ali

How long have you been with EA? What roles have you had?

asifa ali and family

15 years: I started with EA as an Office Assistant and Visitation Monitor. I worked up to an Office Manager and transitioned to Admin Assistant and Bookkeeping a few years ago.

What originally made you want to work with EA?

I originally came to EA while I was in college and looking for a part-time opportunity. At the time, I didn’t know much about the company or the work being done here, but as I became more involved and learned more about EA, I developed a genuine appreciation for the team, the company’s values, and the impact our work has on people’s lives. I enjoyed being part of an environment that creates meaningful experiences for others, and that’s what motivated me to pursue the opportunity to join the team full-time.

Describe what your best day on the job looks like.

The best day on the job is when I’m able to work through my emails, support everyone who has reached out for assistance, and know that I’ve been able to make a difference for my team. Some days can be challenging and fast-paced, but I find it rewarding to stay organized, prioritize my tasks, and accomplish everything I set out to complete that day.

What do you wish people knew about working in your field?

Communication is key! In this field, keeping the team informed, providing regular updates, and making sure everyone is aligned helps create a smoother and more efficient workflow. Strong communication makes it easier to collaborate, solve problems, and achieve our goals together.

How do you practice self care?

Spending quality time with my girls and watching a good TV show.

What's a hidden talent you have, or something about yourself that would surprise most people?

Sadly, no hidden talent, but I love to cook, garden and have recently started crafting.
