How long have you been with EA? What roles have you had?

12 years. I started as an intern and never left! I have been able to work in our THP + FC program, as an RFA Social Worker and now as an Adoption Social Worker.

What originally made you want to work with EA?

When I came onboard as an intern in our Quincy office, I was so warmly welcomed and supported by the crew there. Jerry, Kim, Margie, Sara and Jane were my first introduction to the EA family and I will always be grateful to them! Having that experience as a student made me want to stay on as an employee after graduation.

Describe what your best day on the job looks like.

Helping to build up our adoption program has been a challenging and greatly rewarding experience. A great day on the job involves collaborating with my adoption teammates on a new procedure or protocol, meeting with our EA families across the north who are in the adoption process and even attending an adoption hearing in between.

What do you wish people knew about working in your field?

It is so important to celebrate the small successes along the way. The big wins are great, but the steps that got us there are just as important.

How do you practice self care?

I love to hike, read, scuba dive and spend time with family and friends.

What's a hidden talent you have, or something about yourself that would surprise most people?

I am a big baseball fan—let’s go Royals!
