How long have you been with EA? How did your career path lead you to your role here?

10 years. I originally applied for a part-time Case Manager position in the Sacramento office to gain direct, frontline experience working with youth. At the time, I was also completing my master’s program in Counseling Psychology. I have always been driven by a desire to help others, which ultimately led me to pursue licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. While this license is not required for my current role, it is an accomplishment I am deeply proud of. Over the years, serving in various roles at EA has given me a strong appreciation for the impact of our work and for the dedicated colleagues with whom I have had the privilege to work.

How do you prioritize self-care while leading in a high-demand field?

In my free time, I enjoy going on walks, watching a favorite TV show, and spending quality time with my family and friends. Treating myself to a pedicure or massage is also a favorite way for me to recharge as well :)

What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?

Many at EA may already know this, especially those who have been with the organization for some time, but I am legally blind in one eye. This resulted from an injury I sustained at the age of five, which permanently damaged my eye. A few additional fun facts about me: I grew up owning and riding horses and dirt bikes!!

What’s a small daily habit that helps you stay productive?

I am highly detail-oriented and organized, so I like to keep a to-do list handy and enjoy checking items off as I make progress.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

I believe faith is greater than fear, and I try to focus on not stressing over things that are beyond my control—easier said than done, of course.

Anything else you'd like to add?

I am truly grateful and feel incredibly blessed to have been part of EA for so many years, and I look forward to many more years working alongside all of you. Thank you for the dedication, compassion, and commitment you bring each day in service of our clients.
