Meet EA Office Manager Vicky Moreno

How long have you been with EA? What roles have you had? 

Two years. I started off as a Transporter for a week, then was offered an Office Manager position. I have also been the Visitation Monitor Coordinator for our Porterville Supervised Visit facility.

What originally made you want to work with EA?

I originally needed a job and figured since I helped with the youth at our Church, I could be of service transporting others around. When I started, I wasn't sure of what to expect in this scope of practice. I could see the passion behind people in different roles to admire what they did. I have grown to enjoy working for a company where there is care and support!

Describe what your best day on the job looks like.

A successful day includes creating a welcoming, efficient work environment. Whether it involves assisting my colleagues, completing my tasks, or organizing. Knowing I helped the office function and support my colleagues makes it a great day!

What do you wish people knew about working in your field?

That no two days are the same. It's not just about entering information into the computer or filing. Sometimes, you are a listening ear to your coworkers so they can decompress, you are the first point of contact and your interactions matter, you are what helps keep things in order or on-hand to make sure others can do their jobs effectively.

How do you practice self care?

Self care for me can be a comedy movie with a comfy blanket and a cup of hot cocoa. It can be a walk in the mountains with my kids or a night of card and board games ending with laughter.

What's a hidden talent you have, or something about yourself that would surprise most people?

I enjoy party planning, decorating, and organizing.

I am a mother of two kids, celebrating 17 years of marriage in April. I have been a member of my church for 14 years.
