Employee of the Month: Tiana Houser

Tiana Houser (San Andreas Office Manager) and familyWhat originally made you want to work with EA? 

I had just moved from Guam to California in September of 2019 and my Aunt who worked for EA at the time told me about the agency and what it was all about, so here I am and loving everything I do. I am glad to have the opportunity to help families and children and at the same time work with all of EA's amazing employees.

Describe what your best day on the job looks like:

The best day on the job is when everything runs smoothly and knowing that we are making a difference in a child(s)/family's life, one day at a time.

What do you wish people knew about working in your field?

It can be hard at times, working with different foster families, bio families and county workers, but we all do our best to make it work. Everyday is a different day with a lot of new learning experiences and opportunities to support children and families in need.

How do you practice self care?

The best self care is SLEEP! but I have 4 kids so I'm kidding! My kids are 16, 12, 7, & 17 mos. I love spending time at home with my Husband & family. We are pretty busy on the weekends with basketball games and church but we also like to go to the lake and bbq with family.

What's a hidden talent you have, or something about yourself that would surprise most people?

I cook bomb Chamorro cuisine :)
